sketchfab
The three-dimensional model of the right forelimb of a star-nosed mole (Condylura cristata, YPM Mam 014548) is a fluid-preserved specimen from the Peabody Museum of Natural History. This detailed model was created using Volumegraphics VGStudioMax 3.3 software from a high-resolution CT scan produced by a cutting-edge Phoenix V|Tome|X S scanner. The model was carefully generated to enhance a learning activity designed during the UF Center for Precollegiate Education and Training workshop, "3D Vertebrates: From Museum Shelves to Classrooms." Scanning and modeling of this specimen were funded by the oVert project at the University of Florida (NSF DBI 1701714, https://tinyurl.com/oVertwiki). CT scan data of this specimen are available online at https://www.morphosource.org/Detail/SpecimenDetail/Show/specimen_id/18373.
