Star Lord's Boot Jets from Guardians of the Galaxy

No Peter Quill Cosplay is complete without boot jets! These were created in 123 Design, an impressive effort despite my limitations. This is a work still under development, with progress made. Soon after printing the additional pieces, I'll assemble them, paint, and take pictures of the finished projects. Hope you find this exciting.\nUPDATE: 10/4/14\nAfter weeks of effort, painting is finally complete! Photos of the finished boot jets are attached. Deciding to use a Velcro strap around the ankle turned out to be an inspired choice due to the design limitations presented by my son's leg chaps which hindered proper stick on Velcro application. Please be cautious when combining the upper and lower jet halves, as super glue alone proved insufficient during painting. I ended up using acetone (as the parts are ABS) then drilled a hole at an angle in the bottom half to secure it firmly to the upper half. Future revisions should integrate this redesign with pegs or raised areas that ensure seamless fusion between pieces.
