Star Lord Gun for 120mm printers
thingiverse
A scaled-up version of Star lord's gun originally designed by Jace1969, expanded to 140% for a better fit in my hand. The main body has been divided into nine distinct parts that can be printed on a printer with a 120mmx120mmx120mm bed like the Monoprice Select mini. Each piece features two alignment pins to simplify assembly. The included pins are 10mm and 5mm long, but you may need to shrink them slightly due to manufacturing tolerances. I will update this information once I have determined the exact number needed. A 95% scale appears to be easy to assemble and holds the parts securely in place. Please note that this is the left half of the design; to create a complete gun, you will need to mirror each part in your slicer. This model has not yet been printed, but I will update with images as I work on it and develop an assembly diagram. If you are interested in printing this gun, I can provide my hand-drawn diagram that I used to plan the cuts. Note: Part 4 features a hole for a pin that creates a 2mm square gap; you should be able to fill this with putty and sand it down after assembly. I will investigate whether it's possible to modify the model to eliminate this issue. Build Order: I will create a visual guide once I have completed printing the entire gun. Attach parts 3/4 to 1/2 Attach parts 3-4, 1-2, and 7-8 Attach part 5 to 3 Attach part 6 to 5 Attach part 7 to 2 Attach part 9 to 6 Repeat the process for the other half and then attach the halves together. Attach knob A (part 1) to part 2, and secure the knob to part 9. Attach a knob B to both parts 1 and 5. If desired, attach the trigger to part 4.
