This is a game piece created for a student project I am working on involving board games. Standards: NGSS Overview and Background Educational Game Project This project was created to make learning fun again by creating educational and fun board games that students can play during inside recess. Lesson Plan and Activity Require students to create a game from scratch, using their creativity and imagination to design the game board, spaces, and rules. Students use cardboard boxes as the base of the game board, then add colorful designs with pencils and markers. They also design 3d printed objects such as game pieces, dice, or spinners that bring their game to life. The students create their own question bank, rules, and instructions, which they print out and share with their classmates. The teacher helps facilitate the process by 3d printing items requested by the students, such as this star-shaped game piece, bringing their creative ideas to life.
