The space simulation game Star Citizen, developed by Chris Roberts, RSI, and CIG, features intricate ship designs derived from the Hanger Module. While these graphics are visually impressive, they pose a challenge for 3D printing due to high vertex and face counts. Converting them into STL formats that work is difficult, especially for ships with thin walls like the Hornet. However, by printing in chunks and assembling later, a satisfactory result can be achieved. The Freelancer still needs facet lowering for viability. Successful prints will be shared, while the Merlin and Avenger are already acceptable for printing. Happy 3D printing!
