Star Adventurer Right Angle Finder Clip for Polar Scope.
thingiverse
This clip is designed to attach a Right Angle Finder directly to the polar scope of a Skywatcher Star Adventurer tracking mount. It will also fit onto the polar scope of the MoveShootMove star tracker, according to reliable information. The photographs show the original version of this clip, which I have since updated to be more robust. I specifically designed it for my Neewer RA Finder but it may work with similar ones that feature removable adaptor plates for various camera types. My finder came with multiple adaptor plates and I chose the metal screw-together type labeled for use with older Nikon F series cameras. As seen in the photos, this screws into the printed clip allowing users to leave it in place on the Polar Scope but remove the RA Finder easily. It is recommended to orient it with clips at the top and bottom rather than on the side. A printable version of the adaptor plate is also included for those without the metal one that came with my finder. This consists of separate parts so that users can print them without any support and glue together to achieve the correct slot thickness for their RA finder. However, please note that this has not been tested as of January 19th but I may do so in the future. There are images showing how it should be assembled with the inner washer in place first so that the outer parts sit in their correct positions. A base part for this adaptor plate measuring 26mm wide by 23mm deep has now been added after a request from someone who needed one to fit a Canon Angle Finder B (thanks for testing Mike, glad it works). I hope you find it useful but use at your own risk.
