Stanley Hand Plane No5 Handles

# Stanley No5 Hand Plane Handles If your looking to restore an old hand plane, there is a high change that the rear handle is weakened or already broken. These two models let you replace the stock handles on a Stanley Bailey Pattern No5 Hand Plane with some sharp new 3d printed ones. I like going for a funky colour to bring a flash to the tool box. This also makes planes really easy to tell apart, especially if you have wandered down the road of different sharpening configs. I designed the two models here about 2 years ago and have been using them on two rebuilt Stanley No5s. One in Purples PLA and one in Blue ColorFabb XT. Both work very well. ## Usage I've only confirmed these models on a Stanley No5 but they do look very similar to a No4 and No6 handles. I will update as soon as I get a chance to try the fit on these planes. ## Modification I have attached the two design files. The front handle is designed in SolveSpace while the rear handle was designed in FreeCAD 0.18 (apologies for the software not matching!!) Please feel free to download and modify to suit your plane. ## Edits 2018-12-02nd - First Version Designed. Tested on No5 in both PLA and XT with high infill. 2020-01-17th - Uploaded second version. Slight improvement of bolt fit.
