Stanley Cup Holder and Lid

The Esso brand is inextricably linked with hockey in Canada, making it only fitting to hold your 250ml can in a Stanley Cup holder and trophy lid. I wanted to "fuel innovation," so my first step was researching what innovation entails: the action or process of innovating. Synonyms for this term include change, alteration, revolution, upheaval, transformation, metamorphosis, and breakthrough. To infuse Esso's rich history and brand into my concept, I delved into research on the company's origins. This led me to the Esso website, where I discovered a wealth of information about the company's past. Specifically, I was intrigued by the connection between Esso and hockey, which dates back decades. In 1936, for instance, Esso sponsored the first national radio broadcast of an NHL game. This historic moment sparked my interest in designing a unique holder that would transform a typical can into one of the most iconic trophies in hockey history. The Stanley Cup Trophy IP is public domain, allowing me to create a parody that showcases Esso's involvement in the sport. To bring this concept to life, I utilized cutting-edge technologies such as FDM 3D printing for the base and SLA printing for the cup. Both types of printers can be used to produce each component, offering versatility and flexibility. This innovative upcycle transformation is sure to captivate the masses with its simplicity and uniqueness.
