Stanley Bailey 3 1/2 plane handle

So, I'm telling my friend that I can design and print anything with a 3D printer. I do the design work, while my friend appraises it and does the magic with his printer. "OK," says my friend, "I've been wrestling with this broken plane handle for years; you can't get them for love or money, can you make that?" "Aye!" says I. "..Even with those complex curves and angled holes?" "Aye, piece of cake!" Well, here's my attempt. Any injuries or real-world disasters caused by its use are entirely your responsibility. I'll keep the design fresh if there are any mods. Added a plan STL file without scaffolding, apologies for taking so long to get to it. The plane has been in daily use since my build and my carpenter friend loves it because the garish green color makes him unique and very easy to find. There have been no stress fractures or other breaks, and the plane has proved robust. I'd suggest that it's an upgrade to the standard bakelite/wood ones. How I Designed This Fusion 360 I designed this using Fusion 360 with simple primitives and much smoothing. I worked on the principle that the person who made the first one started with a block of wood and shaped it down using simple curves. The final product has a remarkably similar "feel" to the original, so my theory bears out.
