Standing seam roof for signal box

Standing seam roof for signal box

I wanted a compact structure for my yard office in an N Scale yard scene I'm building. A precise prototype wasn't essential; just a plausible structure would suffice. I've always been a fan of Badgerbreath's models, so I decided to use his signal box model. The roof was the main challenge. The corrugations didn't print well in N Scale, and my existing signal tower had a standing seam roof. So I designed a new standing seam roof with the same spacing as my tower. This led me to printing an HO version for testing purposes. The seams are quite wide in HO, but I wanted something that could be printed in N Scale. Photos of both the HO and N Scale signal boxes can be seen here. The HO model was printed at .12mm layer thickness with a .4mm nozzle, while the N Scale model was printed at .08mm with a .3mm nozzle, scaled to 54%. One photo shows the N Scale model alongside my Tichy (ex-Dimi Trains) tower. After taking the photos, I noticed that I had glued the HO roof on incorrectly.
