Standing figure of Babaef is a magnificent statue from Ancient Egypt's Old Kingdom period, specifically dating back to the late Dynasty 4 to early Dynasty 5 era, approximately between 2575 and 2323 B.C. This incredible artifact was discovered in Egypt, Giza, within the tomb known as G 5230. The figure stands at an impressive height of 147.3 centimeters, with a width of 36.5 centimeters and a depth of 62.5 centimeters, weighing a massive 362.9 kilograms or 800 pounds when framed. When paired with its aluminum pallet base and vertical post in the back, the total dimensions become 10.2 x 68.6 x 72.4 centimeters, which is equivalent to 4 x 27 x 28.5 inches. The Standing figure of Babaef is proudly housed at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston under the catalog number 21.953a-b and is carved from limestone.
