This Model is a 3d scale reproduction of the Standard U.S.Navy Steam Cutter 40ft long, as described in the Navy book dated 1902, by A.M.P Maschmeyer. The project considered a Steam Engine vessel, with two auxiliary sails and support oars. The wooden hull shape was standardized for different boat dimensions: 28', 30', 33', 36' and 40', having different internal arrangements. The present Model is the 40' version.
