Designed to securely hold a standard playing card either sleeved or unsleeved, the fit is loose enough that neither the card nor sleeve are damaged. Their primary function is to keep reference cards off to the side while still allowing for easy reading. You can use your finger on the lip in front to effortlessly slide it around on the table. The carefully designed indents in the front and back make it a breeze to pick up when putting everything away. The card will remain safely in the stand as long as you don't lift it at an angle. Instead, I prefer to gently slide them once they're placed.
