This platform accommodates standard cameras equipped with a 1/4" screw attachment. The 1/4" screw hole allows you to choose between a 1/4-20 threaded option, a camera screw featuring a non-threaded shaft and threaded end, or a 1/4" bolt passage by drilling it out. Initially, I noticed the lack of versatile mounting solutions for GoPros while using my small video camera with a standard 1/4-20 mounting screw. Therefore, this platform offers the much-needed flexibility.
