Stand Holder for InMoov
thingiverse
Introducing InMoov, the printable and animatable robot hand! If you possess a 3D printer and building skills, this project is perfect for you. Originally designed for a still picture commercial, it was meant to be mobile but not animated, with human-like hand positions achievable through cable or fishing rod controls. An improved model, aimed at animation and potentially computer control, is currently underway by the creator, who welcomes assistance as they are new to servo use. Follow the progress on their blog at inmoov.blogspot.com. The green piece in the picture can be mounted at three heights on the torso, acting as a temporary support until a stronger base is developed for the robot's bottom. Ensure caution when your robot moves its arms, as this part may be fragile. Adjust the pipe hole size to fit your needs using your preferred software, although the creator wishes they could make it parametric through OpenSCAD. A stand called "SupportV2" has been added for mounting under a Kinect sensor as of 29/01/14.
