I took kieranjones39's sleek phone stand design and gave it a subtle tweak. In Sketchup2017, I tweaked the original STL file, extending the "shelf" to fit an iPhone snugly inside its Otterbox case and shortening the "lip" so that the display wouldn't be obstructed when the phone was lying flat on its side - perfect for use as an alarm clock during travel. For a long time, I'd been in need of something just like this, so instead of building it from scratch, I decided to modify the design rather than start over. The original STL file was remarkably clean and well-made, but I made some minor adjustments to make slicing and resizing a breeze.
