Stand for HEX bit holder
thingiverse
I have been experiencing warping on my base but my print has still remained functional so I built a quick stand to cover the warped base. The addition of a second colour is also planned for the bit holder and I am considering making it portable by adding a lid. Note that this only applies to the stand, as you can find more information about the bit holder itself on Thingiverse under 422819. Please make sure to read the instructions carefully before printing. Instructions: Cura Sliced Shell is 0.3mm and recommends increasing the outer length to 105mm ratio locked (new file with a 105mm addition has been added) in order to have 0.4mm squeeze room as the hexbit_stand.stl shell is a perfect fit for most printers. Inner length should be set at 102.898mm, but what buffer you will need may depend on your experience with print thickness and filament contraction so make sure to check that first. I used my bit holder printed in 102.7mm as an example, added 0.4mm for a perfect fit so that it lines up correctly, so adding a hexbit_stand_105mm.stl has been included at a 105mm length with 0.3mm layers. Hexbit_stand.stl is the original 104.64mm version which also comes in a 102.898mm inner and 105mm outer if you get confused just print hexbit_stand_105mm.stl Approximately one metre (5 grams) is used for the print process.
