Stand for Cases (magnetic)
thingiverse
This is a Hex version of the magnetic clip or stand for cases. Printing this piece is successful when using an ooze shield. The ooze shield shown was created with Simplify3D. There's a small sprocket holding four 1/2 inch by 1/16 inch D81 magnets from K&J Magnets. The sprocket or magnet frame slides into the gap between formed hexagonal cells and drops into pockets that align the magnets in the frame, requiring just a few drops of superglue or ABS glue to secure it in place. I used a flat razor blade and a shim to hold the sprocket in the pocket registering the magnets.
