staley blade cap
thingiverse
I have printed Chriswernst's blade guard and it initially provided adequate protection for my hands. However, its performance has deteriorated significantly over time, failing to securely grasp the blade. As a result, I am no longer confident that it will shield me from potential harm. This blade guard features four small spheres that fit snugly into corresponding holes on the blade (please ensure your print has these holes before proceeding). To avoid any issues during assembly, make sure the walls and balls are properly separated before inserting the blade completely. Unfortunately, I neglected to do so initially and was unable to remove the blade from the guard without difficulty. When you disassemble your scraper, inspect it carefully before placing it on a hotbed. Verify that it remains securely fastened in place by the screws, as this component exerts significant pressure on the blade, holding it firmly within the guard. To achieve optimal results, print the Chriswernst's blade guard with the orientation upwards.
