Guide and base for drilling angled holes in chair seat blanks using the sightline/resultant method developed by Peter Galbert. Step by step use in photos. 1) Set tube angle to resultant angle 2) Line up brad point of drill bit at the centerpoint of the hole 3) Align base on sightline with the slot in the base 4) Clamp tightly (handscrew works great for this) 5) Drill hole without spotter/mirrors/lasers/worry Required components (photo 1): One of each part (PET-G is what I print them in) two 1" x 1/4-20 socket head screws (or thumbscrews) two 1/4-20 nuts (non-locknut) washer if you need it Use the screw to seat the nut in the hexagonal recess during assembly, its otherwise extremely challenging (photo 2) A 1" screw is just a little too long, but a bench grinder will fix that. 3/4" is too short.
