Staircase Marble Machine
thingiverse
This reworked version of Automata - Marble Machine by Sebastian Bolona is optimized for 3D printing. The following components are included: - Base - Top - Shaft - Nut (fits on the end of the shaft) - Cams (five required, alternating up and down on the shaft) - Lifts (five distinct ones, increasing in height) For optimal performance, use 6.35mm ball bearings. The parts are designed with 0.2mm clearances; however, you may need to file them slightly depending on your printer's accuracy. The design was created using Fusion 360, and the .step file is included for any adjustments you might want to make. The cams feature a hexagonal hole that threads onto the shaft's hexagonal section, eliminating the need for adhesives.
