XRef links simplify basic scenes by reducing file size and increasing viewport speed due to low-poly model copies for proxy representation. The link system is arranged to allow customers to change mapping and material of models directly in the scene without altering external original files. This means a single original model can have its unique color solution in each scene. The absolute advantage of this approach is the small size of work files, enabling regular equipment use without expensive professional machines.
