Staind RC Tank Track Wheel w/o sprocket - Critical Update
cults3d
I created this because the non-drive track wheels of Staind have sprockets, which is not typical in many tanks I've played with, and it causes problems as follows: 1. Jamming - the track does not spin smoothly, resulting in a rough ride. 2. Excessive noise - a clicking sound is generated. 3. The track keeps jumping off the drive wheel. I designed new track wheels without sprockets, allowing the track to glide through the non-drive wheel smoothly and reducing noise significantly. To demonstrate this modification, I created an explanatory video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fhIfQ4ygYAI Additionally, with the new design, the track can now extend its full length, requiring a new extended wheel tensioner. I printed all components at 3-layer wall thickness and 35% infill density. Amount to print: a. Four tensioners are needed; print one each. b. Two tension wheels. c. Eight track wheels. d. Two drive wheels from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2743302 by Oger. For accurate fitment, I used a Creality CR-10 printer (https://www.banggood.com/DIY-Creality-CR-10-3D-Printer-300300400mm-Printing-Size-1_75mm-0_4mm-Nozzle-p-1085645.html?p=DG23031123036201501P). The motor used is the Sunnysky V2216 800KV Outrunner Brushless Motor (https://www.banggood.com/Sunnysky-V2216-800KV-Outrunner-Brushless-Motor-p-78175.html?p=DG23031123036201501P).
