A miniature replica of a grand theatrical prop, a 1/2" scale model of a 20-bushel hamper takes shape. The design includes a hinged lid that opens with ease, crafted by carefully printing the entire piece and then heating the hinges with a lighter flame to give them a pliable consistency. With deft fingers, I bend the hinges into position, securing them firmly in place. To complete the illusion, casters are carefully glued to the bottom of the hamper, allowing it to roll effortlessly across any stage or floor.
