Customers can place orders and pay via smart handheld devices. The drone, such as the DJI Spreading Wings S1000, boasts a maximum payload capacity of 5.3 kg (11.6 lbs). The system is designed to carry various food items, including a three-pack of 16 oz beverages (473.2 grams each), one to three fully loaded hot dogs in buns (113.4 grams each), and one to three double hamburgers (283.5 grams each). While this innovative concept has not yet been put into production, it presents a promising solution for streamlining food delivery in large-scale event settings. However, the creator faced challenges with CAD software like SolidWorks in modeling certain components, such as the catch/release landing feet and drive motor gears. Despite these obstacles, the core structure, including the main chassis and food tray, is in place, showcasing a complex design with negative draft areas like the primary food compartment.
