Stacking Pi 2 case
thingiverse
I made a modified version of CongoJoe's stacking case specifically designed for the Raspberry Pi 2. Since I got a new Pi 2, I thought his straightforward yet practical stacking mod for the original Adafruit Pi Box would work perfectly. To make things even easier, I added some breakaway slots on top to give better access to the GPIO, screen, and camera contacts. There isn't much material surrounding the GPIO slot, so be extra careful if you decide to use it or redesign the entire thing altogether. Placing the slots on the sides of the case would eliminate the problem entirely, making stacking cases possible with cameras or screens and other I/Os. Use 3mm thick material, just like the acrylic in the pictures, for a tight fit. This was laser cut from a single 3 mm acrylic sheet, with careful adjustments made to the slots and snap locks to ensure a snug fit. Huge shoutout to my buddy Fredric for patiently tweaking settings repeatedly on the laser cutter. The Pi itself can be screwed into place at the base of the case if you like, but that isn't necessary since the fit is already pretty tight as it stands.
