Stacking Checkers
cults3d
Updating: Printed a few test runs, and uploaded a new version of the checkers set. This latest version boasts a smaller diameter, stacks nicely, and has just the right heft that I remembered from childhood. I'll share a picture when I get a fresh set printed. For now, I'm going with 30 mm diameter, a 0.3 layer height, and 50% infill settings - the result is checkers that feel precisely like they did as a kid. They have a pleasant "click" sound when slid together. Currently working on a custom set of checkers for my son. The new design features thinner pieces, which should stack more easily. To improve bridging, I rounded the underside ridges. This project was created using Tinkercad. You can edit it online at https://tinkercad.com/things/4SkOLS948I5
