Stacking card holder

Stacking card holder

If you're like me, and don't want to carry an actual wallet with you, this product could help extend the life of your cards. The great feature is that it can stack cards in various heights, making them easier to see and choose from. Simply push your cards into place and they will be secured. When you need a card, push all the cards up with your thumb, then release. Your cards should now be neatly stacked so you can select the one you want. Once ready, just press them back in place. I noticed that an older, slightly bent card with high embossing didn't work as the first card since the embossed text could prevent it from dropping into place. Check out a Tile version here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2068719 Print Settings: Printer: Minifactory Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: It doesn't matter Notes: I made this with PLA, and the surface area against the print table is very small, only the edge. I didn't have any problems with it, but be aware of that. Post-Printing: As always, sand it down since you'll be keeping this in your hand. At least sand the groove edge, as you'll be pushing against it with your thumb. I designed this by seeing a commercial for a card holder and thinking about how they stack those cards so nicely. Once I figured out how it might work, I created a few prototypes and found the most compact form.
