Think outside the box, and then add a few more boxes to store all your screws, nuts, bolts, toys, or miscellaneous items. Design your own stacking boxes to keep things in order. We created our Candy Bowl specifically for testing 3D-prints with large-bore nozzles. The result is a semi-transparent box 3D-printed at a 0.8mm layerheight using a 1.0 mm nozzle. Although it's possible to print this box at faster speeds, we kept the pace down to achieve an exceptional high-gloss shiny surface and overall higher quality print. The attached pictures show just that â the lower part was printed faster than the top, resulting in increased transparency and superior print quality due to a lower extrusion and cooling rate needed when using larger nozzles. The outer dimensions of the box are 120x120x80mm. At approximately 20-30 mm/s, printing took less than two hours. We simplified the geometry to make it easy to print. By enabling vase-mode in our print settings, we eliminated layer-change zipper lines. To make the box strong and maximize transparency, we used Taulman 3D's T-glase (PETT) filament to 3D-print the candy bowl.
