Think outside the box, because with a few simple steps you can create your own custom stacking boxes to keep your belongings organized. Whether it's screws, nuts, bolts, toys or miscellaneous items, our stackable box is designed specifically for testing 3D-printed objects with large-bore nozzles. Just like our innovative Candy Bowl, this box showcases the capabilities of 3D printing with a semi-transparent design achieved at 0.8mm layerheight and a 1.0 mm nozzle. Despite the possibility of printing at higher speeds, we chose to maintain a slower pace to achieve an exceptionally high-gloss shiny surface along with superior print quality. This is evident in the two attached images, where the lower part was printed faster than the top part, resulting in increased transparency and enhanced print quality due to slower extrusion and cooling rates required for larger nozzles. The box measures 120x120x80mm and took under two hours to print at approximately 20-30 mm/s. To ensure ease of printing, we kept the design simple, using vase-mode in our print settings to eliminate layer-change zipper-lines. For optimal strength and transparency, we employed Taulman 3D's t-glase (PETT) filament to 3D-print the candy bowl.
