If you're lucky enough to own an old imperial hobby-sized lathe, having a few spare gears can be incredibly useful for building either a light-duty gearbox or creating castings for metal gears. The original designer kindly supplied individual gears tailored to my specifications, which I've combined to make compound gears for easier use by everyone else. To take full advantage of this setup, you'll need to acquire a couple of additional components from the original design. I've recently updated the 32/16 gear design to make it easier to print with my current setup. The gears have been scaled to accommodate mm measurements instead of inches, and I've identified an error in the 36 tooth shape; however, I plan to address this issue by running the gear on a steel one with the correct tooth shape, allowing it to heat up and melt into its ideal form.
