Stacked Duet3D filament sensor housing
thingiverse
I designed my version of a filament sensor holder for the Duet3D filament sensor. Edit: I strengthened the clip on the side and added the CAD files. This is now V2. Edit2: I added a clip to clamp it to a Nimble screw, so that it stays securely in place with even better results. This is now V3. The two stacks were identical until the requirement for the bowden tube came through, and of course it needed a bowden tube! The basic idea is a box that holds the PCB and can be adapted in various ways to attach to something. In our case, it would be attached to the drive cable. The bearings, rubber wheels, and all fit inside the stacks or bearing blocks, and the whole thing is bolted together with 4 screws. The top stack has smaller bolt holes, so there's no need for nuts. This makes it a lighter system. The holders for the bowden tube are simple slide-in press-fit fittings, but it would be easy to tap them for a real bowden tube clamp. Or use the little black clamps that E3D uses.
