I have yet to print one of these custom mounts. ABS material would likely yield the best results. Since I only have PLA on hand, I'll choose an infill percentage to achieve the desired level of stiffness. This mount is designed for a standard race quad vtx unit like the 5823 or ET200 style unit and measures 2mm thick. The side holes are intended for cable ties or other strapping solutions to secure the mount in place. Alternatively, you can use big shrink wrap around the vtx and board, making sure to leave the corner holes open. A notch at the top of the central area accommodates the glob of solder on these vtx's that grounds the little vtx module to the rest of the circuit board. This glob often sticks up a bit, so I've made the notch to avoid stressing it. This mount is a standard 36x36mm board for stacking with most quad controller boards. Let me know if this works out okay; happy to make modifications as needed. By the way, the one in the photos was a laser-cut prototype – not a 3D-print. I trust that's somewhat obvious, but then again, I'm not familiar with what wood filament looks like when printed.
