Stackable Sorting Box

Stackable Sorting Box

thingiverse

This laser-cut box is designed for storing and sorting screws and nuts, particularly 4-40 types. It features a notch for stacking alignment and an installed divider to prevent parts from falling out. Made from 1/8" hardboard, the thickness matches ideal sorting part dimensions. However, the box may occasionally hold two nuts in one hole; simply feel the sorting area with your hand to detect this issue. The box significantly speeds up counting tasks and provides efficient storage. To create it, download the OpenSCAD file, adjust variables, render the design (hit F6), export as a .DXF, import into Inkscape with a 0.0254 scaling factor, apply desired creation tools, and glue together for completion.
