Stackable Small Parts Funnel Tray
thingiverse
I love countspatula's innovative tray design, which allows for effortless pouring of parts back into a baggie or storage container. I've printed several and they're now an essential part of my workflow. However, I always thought they could be improved by making them stackable. So, I created a version that can be stacked with ease. This design is optimized specifically for 0.4 mm print nozzles. The walls are crafted to be precise integer multiples of 0.4 mm, ensuring flawless prints with just two shells. This optimization has significantly reduced printing time by half. The base of this tray is engineered to print at a layer height of 0.28 mm instead of the standard 0.3 mm. Many 3D printer motors possess a 0.04 mm z-axis stepper resolution, which allows them to move to precise positions but often struggle with stability between steps. By using an integer multiple of 0.04 mm for the z-axis layer height, I've achieved cleaner layers and improved adhesion. You can witness the printing process in action by watching these timelapse videos: https://youtu.be/nWBk2_kmrwQ https://youtu.be/lXnrs0QPYfQ **UPDATE:** On September 11, 2017, I added a 50 mm x 50 mm tray to complement the standard 50 mm x 100 mm design. **UPDATE:** On September 15, 2017, I introduced a 50 mm circular tray for greater versatility.
