Stackable LEGO Brick Sorter / Sorting Box
cults3d
We previously built our first iteration of the LEGO Sorting Shaker. It was pretty good and people found it useful, but we've supercharged it with this model. Not only does it work better due to revised hole diameters, it's also stackable when in use and can nest within itself when not in use! We've written a full review of the use of the sorter on our blog, so check it out for more info such as the cost/print time etc. You can read more about it here. Use supports for printing to allow for the lip. Infill at 20% is fine. PLA or PETG are both very effective. The lid files uploaded here don't have the cdbricks.com hidden embossing, but if you'd like that just let us know and we can upload it too. If you enjoyed this, we'd love you to swing past our LEGO blog - Casa de Bricks or donate a couple of dollars towards the upkeep of the site. https://www.casadebricks.com Edit: There's now a version for those with a Prusa Mini or similar small build plate printers. You can find it here. We've also uploaded a modified version which takes less time to print, has no text and uses less filament due to slightly thinner perimeter walls (2mm vs 3mm). The lack of text is not needed as the sides of each unit has a placement indent guide as shown below.
