I was approached with a request to create custom boxes for champagne glasses at my university. The school relies on champagne flutes for special events, but their original cardboard packaging has fallen apart and no longer stacks properly. This new caddy is designed to be stackable and can hold up to 24 champagne flutes measuring 63mm or less in diameter. Made from laser-cut 3mm MDF, the design can also accommodate 3mm plywood or cast acrylic if you're worried about the risk of wet glasses damaging and weakening the carrier. Further sizes are on the way. Print Settings Rafts: Doesn't matter Supports: Doesn't matter Notes: Laser cutting set up for a 600 x 900 x 3mm sheet All measurements are in millimeters. The included PDF and DXF files contain the same design, so use whichever one works best for you. Post-Printing Step One: First, assemble the outer walls by connecting a long edge with a short edge first, then slide in the base. Next, add the remaining short edge. You'll then need to fit in the final long edge, but it may take some effort - try easing the rounded pieces into place and let the base clips snap into position last. Step Two: Next, assemble the inner dividers. Once they're all connected, you can drop them as a single unit into the outer walls, which doesn't matter how you orient them.
