Stackable Drawer System
thingiverse
This project showcases turning leftover plastic microwavable food containers into a stackable drawer system through up-cycling. It is a large, complex print that pushes the build volume of our 300x200x200 mm ExtraBot 3020 E3D printer to its limits. The design works very well and we've included a SketchUp 16 file for anyone looking to modify it. The bottom braces are somewhat fragile so they may need updating in future versions, and a Customizer version would also be beneficial. This project demonstrates how to use 3D printing together with reusing existing materials to unlock new possibilities. We'd love to see photos of people making our designs if you decide to print one out. **Print Settings** * Printer Brand: Ultimaker * Printer: Ultimaker Original * Rafts: No * Supports: No * Resolution: 0.3mm * Infill: 20% or more **Notes**: This was a challenging print due to its height, and it will really test your printer's consistency over long prints. Make sure your bed is level and everything is stable because small mistakes add up as the print gets taller. Our printer is an Ultimaker clone called ExtraBot.
