Stackable Box Toy

Stackable Box Toy

thingiverse

A collection of stackable and nesting boxes boasting shape and letter decorations. However, caution is advised for children under three, as objects smaller than 45mm pose a risk. It's important to ensure that the printing material is safe for kids too. These boxes neatly fit inside each other and on top, with dimensions increasing by 5mm per box. The sides feature the alphabet, geometric shapes, Makerbot and RepRap logos, as well as the message "I-LOVE-REPRAP-MAKERBOT". This design is inspired by the Montessori pink tower. As for future projects, why not consider a 'Makers4Schools' movement to create more educational tools with 3D printers? Printing instructions are available for the basic set in the Parts List, which consists of the first eleven boxes from 10mm to 60mm. The first six fit in a 100mm print area, while the rest require individual STL files. Printing doesn't need support material and fill settings above 10% should suffice. The OpenSCAD is flexible, allowing for text modification or starting lettering from a larger box size to suit younger audiences. It's based on @tbuser's bitmap fonts but has modified the zero. Remember to place bitmap.scad and logos.scad in the same folder as NestedBoxes.scad.
