Stackable 4:1 Planetary Gearbox for the 28BYJ-48 Stepper Motor (Remix) Preface: I needed a planetary gear box for my project using 28BYJ-48 Stepper Motor because i needed more torque, but DL_3D's version was a little bit to big for my project. So this is a remix of DL_3D's version. I made it as small as possible with clearences. The holes on the ring gear base are for M3 screws. reduction ratio: 4:1 Print Settings: Printed with Creality CR-10S V2 and Creality Ender-3 V2 Neo. Resolution 0.2mm Infill 20% Material PETG Ring_Gear_Base.stl (I recommend using brim to prevent warping, but might print just fine without brim to.) Sun_Gear.stl (I recommend using brim so it not fails printing.) Planet_Gear.stl (I recommend using brim so it not fails printing.) (You need to print 3 of these.) Planet_Carrier_Hex.stl (Needs support.) (This is for connecting to what to rotate.) (If you need it shorter, then print it with 100% infill and then cut it to a shorter length.) Planet_Carrier.stl (Needs support.) (This is for stacking.) Gearbox_Cover.stl Torque_Tool.stl (I recommend using brim to prevent warping.) This is a tool for you if you want to measure torque. Distance between shaft and load is 100 mm. (You can mount the shaft of 28BYJ-48 Stepper Motor directly or mount Planet_Carrier shaft or Planet_Carrier_Hex shaft to it.) Postprocessing: If you print in the orientation shown in the pictures, then the support should come off easy. You will need to make time for removing the brims with necessary tools. You might need to grind/file the holes with a needle file in the Planet Gears and Sun Gear a tiny bit to make a good fit. Assembly: 1.Put it all together without the motor attached first and spin it around so you grind of residue of filament. 2.Take it apart when you feel it runs smooth and clean if necessary. 3.Finally you should lubricate the planet carrier, planet gear's and the sun gear with some grease and put it together again for use. Trust me, lubricating makes a big difference in smothness and noise.
