Stack Mount for FrSky XM Plus

Hey! So this is a mount for the FrSky XM Plus receiver. It's meant to be mounted on a 30.5 x 30.5mm stack (The size used for 5" builds.. So, the regular size) Use a zip-tie to secure the receiver to the mount (I'm sure hot glue would work too, but it's likely gonna be hard to remove) Here's a link to the receiver https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N5INCBH I hope you all enjoy it ^-^ (Oh and in case anyone's wondering, the GoPro is a weighted dummy to use for first / test flights before I put the actual camera in. And the RunCam mount is also custom made by me ^-^) Print Settings Printer: AM8 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: .15* Infill: 0%** Filament: Inland PLA Gray Notes: : Any normal resolution should work. I just wanted mine to look nice, without taking too long. ** : Mine printed fine with 0% infill. But I also had 6 top/bottom layers, and 4 walls. So if you use the minimalist amount of top/bot layers and walls, then maybe do some infill to help the print stay strong. Of course if you'd want it to survive a hard crash, maybe print it out of TPU or TPE. I will do this some time in the future once I've had a chance to fly again :) How I Designed This I started out in TinkerCAD. Used the measurements from the Amazon listing to make a slightly exaggerated shape of the receiver to use as a base. I put together a little reference for where the screw holes would go, and started fleshing out the mount around the base I made. Making little changes like the fillet, and rounded ends instead of corners for the screw holes. Once I finally received the receiver in the mail, I printed out that test model, and to my surprise, it fit pretty much perfectly. What didn't fit, was the hole mounting. I didn't measure correctly, and was off by half a millimeter. So! Deciding that I might as well make the mount look as clean as possible, I launched Fusion 360, and made sketches, then bodies. I made some cuts, and fillets. Eventually I ended up with the model above! Enjoy! Category: R/C Vehicles
