Stack-able seed planting pot

Stack-able seed planting pot

I designed a pot specifically for planting seeds one by one, but right now I'm using it for dates because their roots grow deep down into the soil, which is why it has that shape. It would be really useful to have this design in a customizable SCAD format someday. One of these pots weighs about 23 grams and takes less than an hour to print. Summer has arrived, and my pots are now outside in direct sunlight for several hours each day. Some of them have slightly melted but are still holding up incredibly well considering they're made from PLA plastic. I added a small chamfer to the bottom of the pot so that if you don't clean up your brim or first layers properly, it won't prevent stacking. The tolerance is 0.2mm, which works fine for me. I printed six pots in total, and when multiple pots are sliding at once, they fit snugly into a thigh-high space. You might want to consider adding an extra 0.1mm to the design so that it fits more easily. I've been using these single-walled pots for over three months now, and they're still holding up well despite being made from PLA plastic.
