This design is part of my anti-seismic tool holder. All tools remain stable and noiseless when I work even if I shake the panel. With this holder, plug in the rule then clip it. Dimensions must be precise for a good behavior, so I recommend to measure your tool and customize the size. I shared also the FreeCAD files if you need to adjust the size. To modify the file, install FreeCAD (for free) and edit the "data" spreadsheet. Then create a mesh from the shape and export it in stl. I designed this tool holder as part of my anti-seismic setup. My tools stay put and remain quiet even when I'm working on my workbench, shaking the panel all the way. To use this holder, simply plug in your rule and clip it into place. Getting the dimensions right is crucial for proper performance, so make sure to measure your tools carefully and adjust the design accordingly.
