A historic stone plaque stands proudly in the garden where St Olave's Church once stood, its location marked by London Wall in the heart of London. The inscription on the plaque reveals the story of how this graveyard was cleared and the road widened by eight feet at the request of the local vestry in 1865. Commissioners of sewers oversaw the project, which was overseen by Rector H J Cummins, Churchwardens F J Harris and C E Wilson. Today, you can still see this piece of history in action.
