St. Louis Key Chain
thingiverse
In 2012, I created an acrylic keychain featuring the St. Louis Arch from a photo taken at the FIRST Championship in Missouri. Using Photoshop, I traced the arch to enable Live Trace recognition. After saving and opening the image in Illustrator, I applied Live Trace adjustments and enclosed it within a square with a small corner circle (0.001 stroke). Finally, I sent the vectorized design to the CNC Laser using settings of 100 raster speed, 50 raster power, 12 vector speed, 100 vector power, and 5000 vector frequency.
