The original torso of St John the Evangelist, now preserved as a standalone statue, was once part of a larger Calvary group prominently displayed in the monastery church at Trebon, possibly above the triumphal arch. The serene expression and intricately detailed folds of its drapery evoke the style of panel paintings attributed to the Master of the Trebon Altarpiece.
