St. George LDS Temple
thingiverse
This model has undergone significant improvements, transforming it from a collection of errors and complex geometries into a printable and stable design. Although some of these original issues persist due to their fundamental nature, requiring substantial rework to correct, the model is now in a state where it can be successfully printed. The following upgrades were implemented to achieve this improvement: 1. Errors were corrected through the use of Netfabb. 2. The steeple was redesigned to print without support structures. 3. Certain roof sections and pieces were replaced with more robust designs, ensuring printability. 4. The base of the model was leveled, allowing all components to lie flat on a table (except for one smaller section at the rear, which remains printable). 5. Multiple fixes were implemented to enhance printability and structural integrity. 6. The roof extensions were redesigned to print without support structures. To achieve successful printing, supports were printed up to the beginning of the roof. It's essential to remove all top supports (roof-related structures) carefully; if not, they may break during removal.
