Remember to lay flat on the printing platform when printing. Use the highest resolution setting on your printer and scale the size as large as possible for optimal results. I had it printed from Marko's Hub in 3D hubs using a Prusa i3 Einstein with precision. St. Basil's Cathedral is a renowned church in Moscow, Russia that left a lasting impression on me during a school project. Its imposing presence captivates your attention immediately due to its bold and beautiful design. The building boasts a unique shape resembling a bonfire flame, making it an ideal choice for this contest. The model I've uploaded is highly detailed and captures the essence of the Cathedral, and I hope you enjoy it. Designing this intricate model proved to be a challenging task. When I first sent the model for 3D printing, Marko's hub pointed out numerous errors that needed correction. Initially, I used an open-source file from Sketchup Warehouse, which was based on data from Google Earth, but it had many flaws. I had to erase most of the exterior and repair those pieces, but issues persisted when running it through Netfabb Basic. Eventually, I removed the arches and internal geometry, resulting in a solid design. Invisible vertical structures within the building proved difficult to remove, but I persevered to reach this stage. The final draft had one or two minor issues that hub fixed, and now you can have a realistic replica of St. Basil's Cathedral in your home. Please share your thoughts on how the print went for you!
