The ancient gatehouse entrance to St Bartholomew-the-Great, London's oldest church, stands proudly today. Originally the main entrance to the priory church, it was built during a pivotal time in English history before the western half vanished during the dissolution of monasteries in 1536. Above the entrance arch, a sturdy Tudor timber house rises high. Date: The stone entrance arch dates back to 1123, while the timber house above was constructed in 1595. In June and July of 2019 and again in July 2020, 471 photos were taken to capture the gatehouse's essence. These images were later processed using Agisoft Metashape software. Some areas of the roof texture show signs of repainting due to the challenging nature of photographing that section.
