This is my take on the spool storage drawers. The drawers are from “Customizable Spool drawer - storage box” by Remivans on Thingiverse. I added the scad files with the dimensions I used. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3110569/NO HARDWARE NEEDED! This storage system uses shelf support pins (links below) as hinges. This way you can even have two or three drawers in one section.Just insert the shelf support pins from the top down. So the bottom pin is inserted from the inside of the spool. When printing the pins just scale them to get the perfect fit. For the hinges in between drawers I recommend scaling them down a bit 98%.I designed some extra parts so the drawers are stack-able and portable.The handle is made of 5 parts and can be pushed all the way down. This way you can stack several spools. I've includes several pictures on how the handles are installed.The link and locks lets you connect multiple spools together. I've only connected 2 spools together. But connecting 3 or more should be possible. Insert the link from the bottom spool all the way to the top spool. Then use needle nose pliers to insert the locklong. The smaller lock is when you want the lock in the top connector hole of the spool, but this may interfere with stacking,The feet will secure the spools when stacked.I have been using these spool drawers foor a couple of month now with The top stack of 2 spools in the pictures is weighing +4 kg. I've included a drill mask for the holes.
